Filming has wrapped on the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi TV Show, according to Ewan McGregor. What's more, the Star Wars star seems to think that it is pretty good, which is promising. Will the Obi-Wan Kenobi Show be good? Can we trust Ewan McGregor?

Think about it this way: it has been over twenty years since The Phantom Menace kicked us in the proverbial. It has been a few years since The Rise of Skywalker left us with the deep-seated feeling of "eh". Do you really think that Star Wars has a whole lot left to give? Well, The Mandalorian, and Ewan McGregor both seem to think differently.

We have to admit that Rogue One was bloody good, and the Mandalorian has been blowing our socks off since it premiered. I mean, who doesn't like Baby Yoda? That son-of-a-gun is a cute little bas... I can't say that here. Does that necessarily mean that the Obi-Wan Kenobi show will be good? Well, no... but maybe?

Will the Obi-Wan Kenobi Show Be Good?

Ewan McGregor said that the Obi-Wan Kenobi show "will not disappoint", suggesting good things for the television program. Filming has wrapped on the first season of the brand new show, and Ewan McGregor seems bloody enthusiastic about the show. The thing is: people were pretty enthusiastic about the prequels too, and we all know how that turned out!

The new Obi-Wan Kenobi show will apparently be set a decade after the events of Revenge of the Sith, putting it about half-way between the events of the the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy. McGregor said the following about the new show:

I think it's gonna be good. I had a really good time making it and worked with some really wonderful people.

Seeing as the show will also see Hayden Christensen reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), Obi-Wan Kenobi could well be the redemption story we never expected. The prequels are rightfully condemned as the worst Star Wars films to ever hit theatres, and the thought of Christensen and McGregor fixing what was wrong, leaves a pretty sweet taste on the tongue.

If it's good, that is. We don't know if it'll be good yet...
