Facebook Won't Take Away Creators' Money
Yep, old Zucky says so himself.
To help more creators make a living on our platforms, we're going to keep paid online events, fan subscriptions, badges,...

Let us give a little explanation to what the Facebook executive is talking about here. Usually, when you are an outside creator on a streaming/video platform, all of your income gets split between you and the platform. Lawsuits have been started because of this policy.
That makes economic sense since without that platform, an individual creator would find it much more difficult to reach an audience. That's without even mentioning the technical advances that one can use when operating on a major platform.
Thus, Facebook deciding to keep subs, donations, paid events income, etc. free for their creators, is genuinely generous. We're not living with the illusion that it's all done out of the warmness of Mark Zuckerberg's heart, obviously, but as long as more people can do their thing and get rewarded for it, we're on board.
