Fantastic Beasts 3 - the third installment of a 19th-century Harry Potter spinoff - has been revealed. We now know the release date, the official title, and we've even got a trailer! Details below.
Harry Potter is one of the most beloved franchises around, and while the spinoff will always be just that - a spinoff, it's still won over the hearts of a great many fans. Rejoice then my fellow Harry Potter fans, for the next film is upon us.

And as you've just seen the official title of Fantastic Beasts 3 is The Secrets of Dumbledore. That alone tells us an awful lot about the new direction for this third installment.
When the Fantastic Beasts series began, it was refreshing to see new parts of the Harry Potter universe, but there was clearly a yearning among the fanbase to bring us back to more familiar territory. Fantastic Beasts 3 will therefore be heading back to the UK, in that we'll be following young Dumbledore. We won't spoil the escapades of young Dumbledore (which are revealed quite extensively in the books) but this is a time period that's deeply influential on the core Harry Potter story. Hence, the upcoming HP RPG is set in Hogwarts around this time.

When Is The Fantastic Beasts 3 Release Date?
Fantastic Beasts 3: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released in theaters on April 15, 2022. Our Harry Potter fans don't have to wait that long then for the next installment. But whether this really is the final installment of the spinoff is yet to be seen.
