A reveal trailer for the Game of Thrones prequel - House of the Dragon - was just released out of nowhere, and the best part - it's coming out sooner than you think!

A lot of you are probably thinking: what the hell? But we have actually known about this project for a short while. The real surprise is that they've turned around this project so quickly; we'll be back in Westeros in no time, apparently.

If you were watching Game of Thrones at the time, then you likely walked away from that series feeling more than a little betrayed. But this new project is from new directors and features a new cast. So if you like the Game of Thrones universe but didn't like how that story ended, there's still a lot of hope for this new series. Our personal wish? That they don't butcher the ending. No, but seriously, we want to see the return of Ser Barristan Selmy - one of the best fighters in the realm.

Spoiler alert: The trailer beneath is quite revealing, especially if you can remember the Game of Throne series very well.

When Is The House of the Dragon Release Date?

The Game of Thrones Prequel - House of the Dragon - will be released at an unspecified point in 2022. If it's being advertised like this now, then we can expect it to be in the final stages of editing. Our best guess is to expect it at some time in the spring - probably late March / early April.
