Ice Poseidon faced a lot of backlash on Twitter for inviting an escort on stream, leading to an extremely uncomfortable situation.
Ice Poseidon is well known for crossing the line with his streams, which got him permabanned on Twitch. Now he continues his escapades on Kick. In the most recent scandal he paid an escort to spend time with a random viewer he found on the street. The situation was extremely uncomfortable and ended with him getting swatted.
Kick is a place where creators are able to create content with a lot more freedom compared to YouTube or Twitch. Maybe too much.
Whether it is a good thing that streamers don't have to fear the ban-hammer is up for debate, but recently Ice Poseidon pushed the boundaries so hard that have now Kick promised to change their guidelines.
Ice Poseidon Gets Swatted Following Bizarre Escort Stream
The incident happened on September 21, when Ice Poseidon grabbed a middle-aged man, named Andy, from the street (allegedly a fan of his) and paid an escort $500+ to appear on camera with said man.
It's not quite clear if Poseidon actually expected the two of them to have sex live on stream but considering he was hiding in the room right next to them, it seems unlikely. He probably wanted to see how things would unfold and then call it quits once he got the content he wanted (still weird and disgusting, though).
The situation started off uncomfortably, but quickly turned bizarre when the creeped out escort wanted to leave and the middle-aged man tried to stop her from leaving by holding the door shut!
Luckily, the escort did get away, and Ice Poseidon explained to the random guy that his behavior was not okay.
The stream got quite a lot of attention on Twitter, with many people calling out Ice Poseidon, as well as Kick for making this kind of content possible.
The streamer has since uploaded multiple tweets defending himself, claiming that the camera wasn't hidden and that filming the encounter was in fact agreed upon beforehand.

Ice Poseidon also addressed the rumors that he was arrested because of the stream, claiming that he was swatted (not arrested) and that police wrote off his content as “legal and safe”.
Wasn't a "hidden camera" and I got swatted after not arrested. Buck adding to the Twitter cancelation nonsense!!! Figure your shit out twitter it's LEGAL content that even the police wrote off as LEGAL and safe. pic.twitter.com/vCc6MSyCay

Despite there not being any legal issues with what he did, it still forced Kick to promise changes to their guidelines, pretty much immediately after the situation went viral.
Considering Eddie, the CEO of Kick, was found laughing in chat as the situation with the escort unfolded, this seems to be more of a marketing strategy than anything else, so we doubt Kick is seriously going to change.
