Sidemen member Miniminter confirmed that IShowSpeed will play in the Sidemen Charity Match
The Sidemen Charity Match is back, and it'll be bigger than ever. After the inaugural event in 2015, the charity event became an annual match, until its supposed finale in 2018. After Covid-19, the Sidemen boys wanted to raise some more money for good causes and organized another event. In 2023, we will get to see another edition of the Sidemen Charity Match.
After IShowSpeed made a name for himself for good tackles and bad knowledge of the offside rule in his first match last year, he was announced to return to this year's edition of the Sidemen Charity Match. But due to him being hospitalized in Japan just recently, Speed's attendance was questioned.
IShowSpeed Will Feature In The Sidemen Charity Match
On May 29, the Sidemen Charity Match 2023 was announced, and it'll be the biggest event so far. Last year's edition was played at “The Valley”, a stadium with a capacity of 28,000. This year, the event will take place at the home ground of Premier League club West Ham United, the “London Stadium”, fitting more than 60,000 people. The tickets were sold out in less than 2 hours.
On June 19, IShowSpeed's return was announced, to the joy of thousands in the community. But in the following weeks, his attendance was questioned. After getting hospitalized in Japan on July 30, people were unsure whether Speed would get fit in time for the charity match taking place on September 9. In a recent livestream, Speed he said this to the rumors of him missing out:

His announcement for the Sidemen Charity Match was deleted due to the question marks of his participation in the event. Simon “Miniminter” Minter, one of the seven Sidemen members, recently told his stream about the situation regarding Speed and the deleted announcement, saying the following:
Simon explains why Speed's announcement was taken downHe will still be playing in the charity match! pic.twitter.com/KuubTcWfK7

This statement from Miniminter sounds much more hopeful than the one from Speed. There are still some weeks left for Speed to recover and get ready to play, and we all hope, that he will be able to play. (And that his pants stay above his waist this time).
