Jake Paul just showed off a custom-made chain on Twitter. It cost $100,000, it's encrusted with diamonds, and it shows Conor McGregor sipping on a bottle of the sleep medication Nyquil. Jake Paul calls it his 'Sleepy McGregor' chain, and it's bound to infuriate the Irish fighter. We've got all the details right here.
Benny the jeweler is one of the most highly-regarded craftsmen in New York. He's known for his work with celebrities on huge statement pieces. But even with that history, he must have been surprised by Jake Paul's request for a 'Sleepy McGregor'. It uses a hefty 500 grams in white gold, and the accompanying diamond tennis necklace is made from 1-carat stones. Gaudy doesn't quite do it justice. But it's sure to capture all the attention in this ongoing feud between the Paul brothers and McGregor.
The 'Sleepy McGregor' Chain
Here's the chain itself in all its hideous glory:

You couldn't have been expecting something classy. But why the hate against McGregor? Well, Jake Paul has become obsessed with McGregor and has offered him $50 million to step into the ring. But McGregor doesn't take Paul seriously.
This necklace is part of a long-running campaign of Paul's to annoy McGregor so much that he agrees to a fight out of anger. As he says in the video:
You better win tonight otherwise your career is over, if you lose then that 50 million dollar bet I gave you won't be on the table anymore, so don't choke like you normally do. Sleepy McGregor, don't go night-night.
He's talking there about McGregor's fight against Dustin Poirier, which unfortunately he did lose.

How Has McGregor Responded?
At the time of writing McGregor has not responded to Jake Paul, but we'll keep you updated if he does. This will certainly have infuriated the fighter, who's known for his erratic temper and poor judgment. But that said, he's still reeling from a recent defeat, so perhaps for now there are more important things on his mind than the antics of the Paul brothers.
