Jeffrey Wright will take on the role of Batman in the new HBO Max series Batman: The Audio Adventures. Jeffrey Wright now joins Robert Pattinson and Duke Winston as the third active Batman.
HBO Max and Jeffrey Wright are getting in on the Batman hype: There's the Batman movie in 2022 coming, starring Robert Pattinson. Then there's the new Batman series coming to Spotify, starring Duke Winston. Now, HBO Max is also working on an audio show, titled Batman: The Audio Adventures. Yes, we're also hoping that the show will be more creative than that title. What's the deal with these new audio shows anyway? Did I miss a trend or something? Am I out of touch? Are Tamagotchis still cool?
What We Know About HBO Max's Batman: The Audio Adventures
Jeffrey Wright Is The New Batman
The headline says it all, really, and the picture tells the rest of the story. But if you still don't know who Jeffrey Wright is, allow me to juggle your memory (why does that sound dirty?): The Hunger Games, Westworld, James Bond... the man has some resume on him and if you didn't already, you better put some good old respect on his name. Oh, he also was the voice actor for Isaac Dixon in The Last of Us. So... you know the man can act, you know he can voice-act, and now we're just gonna sit back and wait for people to complain about a black audio Batman.
'BATMAN: THE AUDIO ADVENTURES' will release on HBO Max this Fall. The podcast series is a comedic take on Batman inspired by 'Batman: The Animated Series' and Batman '66The voice cast includes Jeffrey Wright as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Catwoman & John Leguizamo as Riddler. pic.twitter.com/CQ7ppp77Jp

Rosario Dawson & John Leguizamo Also Join Batman
Yup. Two more big names lending their voices. You know Rosario from Daredevil, Luke Cage, The Mandalorian or... I Am Legend, which – please do @ me on this – is one of Will Smith's best movies and vastly underrated. As for John Leguizamo, he was the guy in John Wick who basically said "do you have any idea whose dog you just killed?" and sets off the whole movie.

Batman: The Audio Adventures Release Date & Story
The show will release exclusively on HBO Max this Fall and story wise, it will be inspired by the 1960s Batman TV series and the legendary Batman: The Animated Series. The latter is a good thing – the former... I'm just gonna pretend they never said that.
If you want more Batman, or Marvel, or DC or... I don't know anything that has anything to do with anything that's cool – go to our entertainment section. Trust.
