Jungle Cruise was a huge success, so Disney was quick to react and already announced the sequel: Jungle Cruise 2, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

Anything The Rock is in is gold. Seriously, Dwayne Johnson can do no wrong and even has a high approval rate, should he ever run for president (this is not a joke). Also, The Rock is basically in any and all Jungle movies, so it was no surprise that Jungle Cruise fit his bill, would do well and is now green-lit for a sequel.

Jungle Cruise 2 Is Officially a Go Starring The Rock & Emily Blunt

Along with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, director Jaume Collet-Serra and screenwriter Michael Green will be along for the cruise (yeah, sorry, but that was a lay-up, and I'm 30+, so the dad-jokes are real). There are no plot details known yet, naturally, since the movie project was literally just approved. We expect more of the same though and if you're unfamiliar with the first Jungle Cruise, it's an easy movie to recommend. No, it won't win any Oscars or surprise you with insane plot-twists, but it's beautifully realized and fun for anybody that goes into it looking for entertainment and, let's face it, after a year+ of COVID-19, a little fun blockbuster-cinema entertainment is exactly what we needed.

It also helps that Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt have literally the best chemistry I've ever seen between two actors. No joke. Rock's BFF Kevin Hart has some serious competition in Emily. Trust, this little clip here is a must-watch that'll put a smile on your face:

If you're anything like me, you love all things that have anything to do with Uncle Handsome (yes, that's a nickname The Rock and I both share) and you have an even bigger crush on Gal Gadot and can't get enough of Ryan Reynolds – if so... oh, my dear, dear reader, let me tell you that there's another movie on the horizon that will tingle your tinglies. All three of these giga-stars will team up in the Netflix movie Red Notice which is releasing on the streaming platform on November 12. I know, we all came here for Jungle Cruise, but since there is no trailer for that yet, here's a trailer for Red Notice:
