It seems like everyone's favorite trickster god will be returning at some point in the future. Loki's season 2 was confirmed in a post-credits scene in the season one finale.
The number of Marvel movies and TV shows keeps growing and one of the latest additions in the MCU was Loki. The trickster god from the Thor series made an appearance in numerous other movies before getting his own series. Loki premiered on June 9 and is among the most successful series on the Disney+ streaming platform that got a warm welcome from fans. The timeline in which the show takes place is right after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Loki Renewed for Season 2
Without spoiling too much of the show's plot, it's about timelines and bureaucracy. You'll never guess which of the two is more interesting and the main focus of the show. In the final episode of Season 1, it was made clear that Loki will be returning for at least one more season. Some of the more patient viewers already know that, as the message was in the post-credits scene. Spoilers?
We heard rumors that Loki will have more than a single season back in 2020, when Agents of SHIELD actor Clark Gregg revealed that Loki will have at least 10-12 episodes. The first season of Loki only has six, and that was a pretty good indication that the god of mischief will be making a return. With the post-credits scene, we're now certain that'll be the case.
Loki Season 2 Release Date
There's still no official confirmation from Disney or Marvel on the second season of Loki. There's probably going to be a period before filming for the next season resumes, so 2022 is our earliest guess. Take it with a grain of salt, though, that's just our opinion.
