Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn. Harley Quinn is Margot Robbie. In just a couple movies, the two have become synonymous and then Margot drops a bombshell: She needs a break from Harley. Or does she?
So, just about a week ago, Margot Robbie said she needed a break from Harley Quinn. The media was all over it, and so were we. Now, Margot did a complete 180 and, honestly, it makes her feel even more like Harley Quinn: I love my puddin, I don't love my puddin, I hate him, I wanna kill him, I wanna be with him, I don't... which is it Margot?
Margot Robbie Is Determined to Play Harley Quinn Again...
... after she was determined that she needed a break. Do we feel studio pressure here? A certain amount of movies she signed up to that she forgot about? A candid moment in an interview that was a no-no? Or did she really just change her mind, got her words misinterpreted or twisted by the media? It can't be the latter. Media outlets would never do that.
- Speaking of Margot Robbie, here's the new black Superman: Michael B. Jordan Is The New Superman
No, I've had enough of a break. I'm ready to do her again," Robbie said. "I did Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad back-to-back, so that was a lot of Harley all in a one-year period, but that was a while ago now. I'm always ready for more Harley!
That's the quote. Make of it what you will and read on to see what I make of it:
How weird is it, that we all lose our sh*t when actors want to no longer portray comic-book characters? With all these long-running comic cinematic universes, we're bound to run into a problem. Thor ain't aging in the comics, but Chris Hemsworth sure is (like fine wine, I might add). Robert already called it quits, and Chris Evans said bye-bye. I don't wanna lose Margot any more than you do, but we can't expect actors to dedicate decades of their career to a single character only. We gotta be able to let go.
We also gotta be able to fill 400 words with a simple Margot Robbie quote. Which I just did. Yeah, touch me.
