PewDiePie's First Days in Japan Were "Shocking"

PewDiePie has given us an update on his move to Japan with Marzia, sharing that whilst they are "doing great" their first few days were "shocking". The popular YouTuber and streamer revealed that the couple had to give up a lot to move all the way to Japan, and that it was a bit hard to acclimatize.

The first few days were kinda shocking... First it was like "We made it to Japan. We’re in Japan! The [fork]? We don’t speak the language. Did we just move to another country where we don’t speak the language, halfway across the globe, in our 30’s? Yeah, I guess we did."

It does seem, though, that PewDiePie and Marzia are doing pretty well. He talked about his love for Japan, how great it is to be there, and the relief of finally having managed to make the long-awaited move. Sounds great, right? All the power to him!

PewDiePie Is Finally Moving To Japan

However, due to the global health crisis, his move was put on hold for two years. During that time, PewDiePie's home in Japan was broken into and the country's closed borders due to health concerns prevented him from finally moving there. In May 2022, that changed.

He uploaded a vlog with the big reveal: he and his wife Marzia, along with their two pugs, are finally in Japan.

PewDiePie's vlog takes viewers through the process of obtaining visas and other necessities for moving to another country, as well as the difficulties of flying with pets. For example, the couple refused to accommodate their pugs in the cargo hold, and then ended up using a private jet.

While the video is mostly upbeat, PewDiePie’s realization that he and Marzia had finally made their dream come true brought tears to his eyes as they were driven to their new home.
