It's the year of Pokémon's anniversary, and the news just don't stop. We're getting game after game, a Pikachu plane, and now we're even getting a Pokémon theme park. Just how many Pokémon will we be able to catch?
"Universal Studios Japan and The Pokémon Company will enter a long-term partnership to jointly explore ground-breaking entertainment that will immerse guests into the world of Pokémon with innovative technology and creativity beginning in 2022."
This is literally what every Pokémon fan ever wanted. Just imagine Pikachu's and Ash's running around for you to take pictures with. If you're familiar with the topic, you might remember that Nintendo and Universal Studios already cooperated on Super Nintendo Land, making this the second theme park associated with a Nintendo franchise.

There are no plans to open Pokémon World theme parks anywhere else in the world, so you'll have to travel to Osaka if you want to fulfill your life-long dream of having Pokémon in real life. That, or you wait for the Mario World that is supposedly coming to Universal Studios in Orlando and Singapore. But let's be real... Mario won't ever touch Pokémon. Nah-ah.
Here is another quote with more info on the park:
"We are honoured to have a long-term partnership with The Pokémon Company while developing ground-breaking Pokémon entertainment at Universal Studios Japan for both Pokémon fans and our guests. The incredible team at Universal Studios Japan have the creative vision and leading expertise in world-class theme park technology to imagine a uniquely Pokémon experience."
