In a blog post, it was explained that this special price reduction applies not only to new subscriptions but also if you decide to extend your current monthly subscription by three or six months, or if you upgrade your existing Tier 1 subscription to Tier 2 or Tier 3.

Furthermore, if you have a Prime or Gift Subscription and you want to upgrade to a regular subscription, you can also take advantage of these discounts. Twitch also confirmed that just like in previous years, streamers will receive their usual earnings from full-priced subscriptions. This earning is divided either equally (50/50) or in a specific ratio (70/30) based on whether they are part of the Partner Program.

Here's the complete list of subscription discounts viewers can enjoy:

  • 25% off for 1-month subscriptions
  • 25% off for 3-month subscriptions
  • 30% off for 6-month subscriptions

As for those who won't qualify for these discounts, Twitch has mentioned the following: existing ongoing subscriptions, subscriptions that were canceled in September and then repurchased, Prime or Gift subscriptions that aren't converted into paid subscriptions, and new Turbo subscriptions.

If you are subbed to a streamer, make sure to use the SUBtember wisely.
