Excited to see The Flash? Aquaman 2? Tough luck, DC just delayed all of their upcoming films.
Cinemas had a tough time during the ongoing pandemic, but people have been coming back into theaters again slowly to enjoy big films on the big screen. DC had a bunch of actually exciting films slated for release soon, among them Aquaman 2, The Flash or Black Adam. I say "had", because they just delayed all of them. Yup, all of them. And for quite a while as well...
DC Delayed Release Dates Of Every Film Slated For 2022
This news was announced by Warner Bros. and reported by Variety. The publisher of the DC films pushed back the release dates of five films which were all originally supposed to come out this year. There was no further comment or explanation on this decision. Here are the new dates:
- League of Super-Pets: July 29, 2022
- Black Adam: October 21, 2022
- Shazam 2: December 12, 2022
- Aquaman 2: March 17, 2023
- The Flash: June 23, 2023
As you can see, three of them are still coming out this year, among them the exciting Black Adam adaptation featuring The Rock, which got pushed back by three months. Interestingly, Shazam 2 actually got pulled forward by over half a year... yay, I guess? The sad news are of course the delays for Aquaman 2 and especially The Flash, which feels like it was supposed to come out 10 years ago. Fans will have to wait even longer now, unfortunately. Until then you should go out and see the amazing new Batman movie with Robert Pattinson.
