Team Envy have signed a partnership deal with FLASHPOINT. The American organization is the seventh to commit to the new league and receive a Founding Member status.
Envy added to the FLASHPOINT pool
The FLASHPOINT staff have encountered some unexpected roadblocks in their efforts to fill their new league with talent. In fact, no team had committed ever since the massive announcement of the Louvre agreement and the reveal of the ESL Pro League Season 11 teams.
The deadlock has been broken at long last with Team Envy being named the seventh Founding Member. The American org is currently fielding a weird mix of North American and European players and is located well outside the CS:GO elite. Despite this, they’ve deemed the $2 million entry fee to the FLASHPOINT league as a feasible investment and here they are – a Founding Member!
So far nine teams are set to play in Season 1 of FLASHPOINT. Those are the seven Founding Members – Envy, Made in Brazil, Cloud9, Dignitas, Gen.G, c0ntact Gaming and MAD Lions, and the two teams that won the Global Qualifier – BIG Clan and Orgless.
Three more partners are supposed to join the league by the time of its set launch date – March 13, bringing the total number of participants to twelve. With how long the announcement of the seventh Founding Member took, let’s hope FLASHPOINT are in advanced talks for the remainder of the league slots so that inconveniences are avoided.
