Fortnite iOS users rejoice!
Fortnite has been making the rounds in the news recently, with only just recently announcing the first creator skin for popular streamer, Ninja. Today Epic Games also gave new life to the iOS version of the hugely popular game.
For those of you who own an iPhone or an iPad, the new update has now improved the compatibility with joysticks and added a whopping 120 FPS gameplay (on compatible devices only) for the new first time.
Being able to use a joystick was always an option for Fortnite in iOS, however, players are now able to fully use the thumbstick clickable buttons on most popular controllers. In addition, there have been much-needed updates to the iPad version which significantly boost and improve gameplay for a more seamless gaming experience on mobile.
It seems Fornite is taking full advantage of the new power Apple’s iPad has to increase the framerate, something that hasn’t been done often for mobile games. With the mobile gaming market incredibly popular, it’s no wonder Epic Games are starting to give the iOS and Android versions of the game some attention.
What’s amazing is that with the 120 FPS rate now achievable for an iPad it does honestly put a lot of high-end gaming PC’s to shame being able to achieve such a stable framerate like that, again, on an iPad. It’s nice, however, to see the mobile app version evolve into a more stable gaming experience for a different type of gaming market.
