eSports WRC Finals: Not Until 2021
In 2020, the eSports WRC entered its fifth season. With more than 10,000 participants this season was already a huge success for NACON, developer studio KT Racing, and all contributing partners.
"Sami-Joe05" from Lebanon and the two-time French world champion "Nexl" fought an exciting duel over the eleven laps with four wins and ten podium places each. At the end of the regular season, the ten finalists competing for the title of eSports WRC World Champion also have the chance to win a Toyota GR Yaris.
However, the finalists will have to wait a little longer before the decision is made. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the season finale had to be postponed to an unspecified date in 2021. This is to ensure the safety of the players, spectators, and staff of the organizers while complying with the regulations.
