ESL have revealed the final few teams to take part in this years's ESL One Cologne tournament. Made in Brazil have been moved to the European region, another team took their place in North America, Asia and Oceania are also complete via the World Rankings.
Made in Brazil to Compete in ESL One Cologne Europe
Without a doubt the most curious part of the reveal is that Made in Brazil will play in the European section of ESL One Cologne 2020 instead of their usual hunting ground in North America. The decision to move them stems from the fact that ESL One Cologne was confirmed as an online event just a week ago.
Mibr had conducted their plans based off the knowledge they would be in Europe for a LAN event in August, so they allowed a couple of their players - Fernando "fer" Alvarenga and Vito " kNgV" Giuseppe, to return to Brazil. The US have imposed strict restrictions on travelling into the country, which could have potentially compromised mibr's preparation for and participation in ESL One Cologne 2020.
That's why the team and the tournament organizers have agreed on a compromize that ensures Made in Brazil won't miss out on the premier event. Taking their place in North America is Chaos Esports Club, which is a bit ironic given the two's recent encounter. The other team to make it in NA is Triumph who put up an eye-catching performance at the Americas BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.
Three teams per region for Asia and Oceania were also confirmed to have qualified via the World Rankings. These are ViCi Gaming, Invictus Gaming and Beyond Esports for Asia and ORDER, AVANT and Chiefs for Oceania.
