Another season of ESL Pro League is just around the corner. At first, the tournament should have been held in Malta but it got canceled due to the coronavirus situation and reorganized into five separate regional tournaments spanning South America, Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe. Let's have a look at the European chapter of the ESL Pro League Season 12.

Although the initial prize fund of $750,000 is split between the five regions, the Europeans got the lion's share with $450,000, to be exact. All matches will be played online including the Playoffs and the Grand Finals.
ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe: Basic Info

Format & Schedule
The regular season will be formatted in two round-robin groups. Each group eight teams that will play against each other over the course of 3 weeks. The regular season will end on September 19 after all teams have played against each other. All matches are Bo3 and the top four teams from each group advance to the Playoffs.
Playoff matches will be played in the double-elimination bracket. All matches are Bo3 except for Grand Finals which are Bo5. The winner of the Upper Bracket will have one map advantage in the Grand Finals which are set to be played on October 4, 2020.
EPL Season 12 Europe: The Teams
A total of 16 teams from Europe will join the tournament. Ten of them came as partner teams, two earn their spot through the European Qualifiers while the rest of them qualified via ESL world ranking points. Attending teams are divided into two groups:

- ENCE
- G2 Esports
- GODSENT
- Heroic
- Natus Vincere
- OG
Group B:
- Astralis
- Complexity Gaming
- FaZe Clan
- Fnatic
- Mousesports
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- Team Spirit
- Team Vitality
Both groups are relatively balanced, and we can expect nothing but intense and interesting matches in each one of them. However, BIG and Vitality will most likely win their groups but there are 3 more spots for the other teams to fight for.
Where to Watch?
Unfortunately, this tournament will be held online, and you won’t be able to witness the action personally. However, you can watch all matches from ESL Pro League Season 12 on the official ESL CS:GO Twitch and YouTube channels.
This is the last season of ESL Pro League for the year. The next season will be played in 2021. and if nothing changes, it will once again be an online competition.
