The Track in Monza
Since the introduction of the Formula 1 World Championship in 1950, the GP of Italy has been held at the legendary Monza circuit, which is one of the fastest circuits on the F1 calendar. Four long straights and several slow chicanes characterize the approximately 5.8-kilometer long high-speed track.
The lap record dates back to a time when Formula 1 racing cars did not have electric motors: Rubens Barrichello, who is now also active in sim-racing, holds the record with a time of 1:21.046 minutes. About three seconds less should be possible with our F1 2020 setup.
