CS:GO transfers alert! FaZe Clan and mousesports have both announced new members of their rosters. FaZe are signing Danish rifler Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjaerbye to fill the fifth slot of the starting lineup. The man, or boy rather, that was at that same position for the past few months - Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, has made the move to mousesports.

Kjaerbye has been a free agent since the player break began. The Dane's commitment to North came to an end over two years after his higly publicised transfer from Astralis. For the past week it was heavily implied that he would be joining FaZe at the renewal of the season and now that's been made official.

The 22-year-old is replacing the much younger Bymas who had been on trial with FaZe. The team was forced to look elsewhere due to Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer stepping down from competitive play. While Bymas did neither particularly well or particularly bad and results were mostly steady, the organization prefered to snap the opportunity to sign a former Major MVP that's, at least on paper, in his prime years.
Bymas' talent won't fade away so easily though. The 16-year-old youngster was immediately grabbed by another premier CS:GO organization. Mousesports are betting on the Lithuanian's development while keeping caution levels up, signing him as a sixth member.
The 5+ model is slowly creeping into top tier CS:GO in large part thanks to Astralis, but is yet to convince in practical terms. We'll see how long will Bymas settle for a backup role and how would a veteran on the team react in case of being dropped in favor of the young one.
FaZe and mousesports both begin the second part of the CS:GO season at ESL One Cologne Europe.
