EA Sports released FIFA 20 update 1.19 for PC, PS4 and XBOX One. The update has one single change in it, but as you might imagine it is a quite important one.
FIFA Ultimate Team has been EA’s darling since its inception in 2009 and it’s likely the only mode in any game that would make the developer bother with an update just to fix a single issue.
FIFA Ultimate Team getting that single child treatment
Update 1.19 is basically a FIFA Ultimate Team bug fix released as an official update. We may have a lot to complain about when it comes to EA Sports but one thing we can’t deny s they are looking after FUT. Screw gameplay, in-game bugs and paying real money for FIFA items. It’s all about FUT, man!
So, let’s get to the patch notes, or note rather. What was so important that got EA off the couch? Well, this:
- A stability issue in FIFA Ultimate Team related to an AI Teammate interfering with the ball’s trajectory, resulting in a goal.
Does it sound like much? No? Yeah, I know. Not enough to merit a separate update at the very least. Apparently, EA thought FIFA 20 could not go on another day without this change, however, so there you go.
This is all in good spirit, of course. I’m not going to judge EA for actually trying to improve the game. It just feels like there are more pressing issues within FIFA 20 that require the same hands-on approach. They are just not FUT related, so I guess that means they will get the middle child treatment.
FIFA 20 update 1.19 is about 3.4 GB in size and is available to all major platforms – PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
