Finally, we can have a real "Old Firm" in FIFA because in FIFA 23, everything concerning the two Scottish top clubs Glasgow Rangers and Celtic Glasgow will be licensed. At least that's what we can assume after the PR faux pax by Glasgow Rangers who must have accidentally leaked a collaboration with EA. In this post, it was also reported that the home stadium of the Rangers, the Ibrox Stadium, will be represented in FIFA 23. We can also look forward to Celtic Park!
The Old Firm is one of the oldest and most prestigious derbies in football. Not only is it a battle to see who is the best club in Glasgow, and therefore Scotland, but it also has great historical and religious significance. Rangers played an awesome Europa League season, which ended in dramatic fashion in the final in Seville against Eintracht Frankfurt. Aaron Ramsey failed to beat Kevin Trapp on penalties and Frankfurt won the title and progressed to the Champions League group stage. It was pretty brutal for the Scots, but the Bronckhorst team really enjoyed themselves. For FIFA 23, we expect some upgrades for Glasgow Rangers also thanks to their performance in the Europa League.

Celtic became Scottish champions last season in a very confident manner. In FIFA, Celtic's cards and players are not nearly as well known as Rangers'. In reality, however, Celtic seem to be slightly ahead at the moment, at least in terms of current form.

Whether EA will rate Celtic's performance the same way remains to be seen. After all, reaching the Europa League final is rated higher than the Scottish Championship (no front). In FIFA 23, Georgios Giakoumakis got three IF's, but the Greek only has 2-star skills, what are you supposed to do with that? Apart from that, there were no other good special cards in FUT.
