Dutch international Steven Bergwijn has been playing for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League for about a year now. The winger has been a fan of the FIFA series for much longer and there's a good chance of you meeting him on the FIFA 21 Ultimate Team pitch. Whether that's a good thing is a different matter.
There are many professional footballers who also demonstrate their skills on the virtual pitch. A quick example would be Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland and his 30 million coins worth of a FUT squad.Steven Bergwijn doesn't slack either and his team wouldn't be something you'd want to face on a sunny Wednesday afternoon in Bournemouth.
Steven Bergwijn's FIFA 21 FUT Squad
Surprisingly, there is only one Dutchman in Steven Bergwijn's team, apart from his own Pro Player 99-rated card of course. The one compatriot chosen by the Tottenham man is Ruud Gullit, which leaves legends like Edwin van der Sar, Johan Cruyff, Ronald Koeman and Clarence Seedorf out of the loop.

Steven Bergwijn's team was met by a friend of Reddit user BeatySwallocks and the picture reveals some curious choices by the team owner.
- GK: Nick Pope (Burnley)
- LB: Alphonso Davies (Bayern München)
- CB: Carlos Alberto (Base Icon)
- CB: Paolo Maldini (Prime Icon)
- RB: Héctor Bellerín (Arsenal)
- CDM: Ruud Gullit (Mid Icon)
- CAM: Eusebio (Mid Icon)
- CAM: Patrick Vieira (Mid Icon)
- LW: Steven Bergwijn (Tottenham Hotspur)
- ST: Ronaldo (Mid Icon)
- RW: Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
Steven Bergwijn's defence is one of the best you can secure in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team at present. In fact, RTTF Alphonso Davies is currently the strongest left-back in the game and Bellerín's Objectives card is the best non-Icon right back. Few should be surprised by the midfield either: Gullit and Vieira have been among the best defensive midfield duos in the FIFA series for several years now.
Apparently, Bergwijn is a fan of Lionel Messi whose gold card sits on the right wing. Despite his high OVR the Argentinian is not the best option at his position in FIFA 21, but that's far from the most peculiar choice the Dutchman has made.
The Nick Pope selection at GK is becoming more and more popular among FIFA 21 players because of his height and his ability to stop shots with his feet. That has shockingly thrown goalkeeping stalwarts such as Alisson, Jan Oblak and Manuel Neuer into the back rows of FUT.
Was Steven Bergwijn the One Playing FIFA 21?
Perhaps even more interesting is the question if it was Steven Bergwijn himself that played in that game of FIFA 21. There aren't any specifics on when the match actually happened, but presuming it was around the time of the Reddit post, that would mean Bergwijn was playing the game around the time Tottenham were playing Leeds United in the Premier League.
There are a number of plausible explanations of course. The pic could have been made a bit earlier or someone else could have used Steven Bergwijn's FUT squad. However, the picture of the winger playing FIFA 21 at halftime while José Mourinho is yelling in his face is just too good to ignore.
