Ultimate Team will get some new features for EA Sports FC 24, among others you will be able to play with women and men for the first time. We explain everything about UT in EA FC.
Ultimate Team will be the most popular game mode in EA Sports FC 24. It has been the case in previous FIFA editions and will continue to be so in the future, as the mode brings that special something that no other mode has.
But there are surely many players who can't figure out the mode because they have never played it before. It also takes a while to understand all the details in UT, we admit. But when you get there, the mode becomes really fun.
Ultimate Team In EA FC 24
Ultimate Team can be divided into several smaller modes. There's something for beginners and pros everywhere. If you're a beginner, it might be better not to jump straight into the Weekend League or Division Rivals.
Maybe UT is also not the right mode for you? Here we offer you an overview of ALL EA Sports FC 24 game modes.
Ultimate Team is not just about playing games; you can also spend a lot of time in the menu and complete various Squad Building Challenges. Daily at 7 p.m., new content like Hero Player Picks, Icon SBCs, or Marquee Matchups is released, which you can look forward to.
This makes this mode so dynamic because there's always something new to discover every day.

Explained EA FC 24 Ultimate Team Mode
The new content also means that you can continuously improve your team. You have to grind better players because you can't just get Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe into your team from the start.
Players are available as cards that you can either buy on the transfer market or pull from packs.
In Ultimate Team, you can buy packs either with real money using "FC Points" (Pay to Win) or earn them by playing and trading items.
With the in-game currency "FC Coins" you earn from playing and trading, you can buy cards on the transfer market. The transfer market is live, and player prices change daily.
The card prices are influenced by the current EA FC meta. There are good trading tips for both beginners and advanced players to trade successfully on the transfer market.
When assembling your team, you must consider player positions and team chemistry. You can't just randomly put together a team, as players won't have chemistry with each other and won't perform well in the game.
You get chemistry points when you place players from the same league, the same club, or the same nation in the team. The new chemistry system was introduced in FIFA 23 and is explained in detail in a separate article.
Usually, every Friday there's a new UT promo, where players receive special, upgraded cards in a unique design. Additionally, every Wednesday at 7 p.m., the "Team of the Week" is released, where players receive special In-Form cards based on their real-life performances.
For example, if Haaland scores another hat-trick for Manchester City, he will receive a special In-Form card.

All New Features In EA FC 24 Ultimate Team
Due to the separation from FIFA, EA Sports now has new possibilities, and they have used them to do something revolutionary: for the first time in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, you can play together with women and men.
We have extensively reported on this in a separate article: Women in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team.
A big win for EA Sports, as they offer a major stage for women's football here.
Regarding the chemistry system, this means that women link normally with their nation and club to their male counterparts. For example, Chelsea's Sam Kerr gives Enzo Fernandez chemistry – the same applies in reverse.
Compared to FIFA 23, Icons have become more valuable again in team building, as they now also provide a league point to any other card. You can read about the new Icons and Heroes here.
All EA FC Ultimate Team Game Modes
We'll start by showing all newcomers the offline game modes where you can try out Ultimate Team: Moments and Squad Battles.
Moments
Moments is an offline mode similar to the Skill Games in the Training Center of the main menu. In Moments, you can complete various, relatively simple challenges to earn Moments Stars. These stars can then be invested in packs or loan players.
The mode is particularly suitable for players who have no experience with FIFA/EA FC, as they can learn the basics here. We recommend this mode to advanced players only if there's a possibility of earning a Swap Token.
Squad Battles
For beginners, the "Squad Battles" mode is recommended, as you play against AI and can adjust the difficulty level yourself. You have the opportunity to play up to 40 games in a week, and four slots provide you with different teams of varying strength as opponents.
The higher the difficulty level and the stronger the opposing team, the more points you receive after each match.
You can earn bonus points by scoring five goals, not conceding a goal, not committing fouls, and not being offside. Rewards are given every Sunday based on your achieved skill points on Sunday morning.
Your rank in Squad Battles varies depending on the points of other players. For example, if you have Gold 3 on Wednesday, you will probably drop to the Silver category by Sunday. Additionally, you can earn various objectives through Squad Battles; further information can be found in the menu under "Objectives".
Division Rivals
In Division Rivals, you accumulate points for qualifying for the Weekend League. There are eleven divisions, and the higher the division, the better packs you receive as a reward. However, there are some FIFA myths claiming that pack quality does not always match the division.
Note that matchmaking in Ultimate Team is based on your current Elo and Division Rivals division. There's a Skill Based Matchmaking in EA FC 24, meaning that in Draft or Online Friendlies, you'll face opponents who match your skill level.
To receive rewards in Division Rivals, you need at least three wins per week, and at eight wins, you get a bonus upgrade. If you reach the Elite Division, you even get a red Player Pick as a reward.
Your progress is reset by two divisions at the start of each new season. Rivals is considered the most challenging mode in EA Sports FC 24.
Champions Qualification
To participate in the Champions Qualification, you have to earn 1,250 Champions Points through Division Rivals. In the qualification, you have a maximum of ten games to reach 20 Rank Points.
For a win, you get four points, for a loss, one point. With five wins, you qualify for the Weekend League, or alternatively, four wins and four losses will also do.
Depending on your rank, you will receive better packs in the qualification, but the difference between ranks is not very significant. You can participate in the Weekend League qualification six times per season.
Compared to Division Rivals, there's no Skill Based Matchmaking in the Weekend League and qualification initially. It only kicks in after about seven games.
Champions (Weekend League)
Once you reach the 20 points, you can play the Weekend League on weekends. This is the UT mode with the best rewards.
You have 20 games to climb as many ranks as possible using the familiar points system from the qualification. However, reaching Rank 1 requires winning 19 out of 20 games – a challenge that only a few players in the world manage to achieve.
Therefore, we recommend this mode only if you've been playing FIFA for a while, as otherwise, frustration can quickly become overwhelming.
The Weekend League offers incredible rewards, and the packs are really worth it. Compared to the Objectives in Friendlies, these rewards are also tradable, and you receive a considerable number of coins.
If you want to keep your team up to date, you'll need to master the 20-game challenge in the Weekend League almost every weekend. Additionally, you'll also receive the red Champions cards from the current Team of the Week through the Weekend League.
Friendlies
In Friendlies, you can test your cards without exerting yourself too much. There are various modes where you can have fun, and each mode offers different rewards.
It's important to always keep an eye on your objectives and milestones in the main menu, as you can also earn Swap Tokens through Friendlies if an active event is running (we'll keep you updated here on EarlyGame).
The advantage of Friendlies is that it doesn't really matter if you win or lose. It's not about FIFA Coins here; it's mainly about having fun. However, the downside is that Skill Based Matchmaking is also active here.
If you don't want to face strong opponents, you can simply avoid climbing in Division Rivals. This way, you can enjoy your Friendlies in a relaxed atmosphere.
Draft
The once beloved Draft mode could make a comeback in EA FC 24, as the removal of position cards from FIFA 23 means you're no longer as restricted in the Draft as before.
To participate, you can purchase entry for 15,000 coins or 300 FC Points. You'll then receive five selection slots to fill your team with players. First, you choose a formation (the 4-3-2-1 is by far the best option), and then you select the captain of the team.
Next, you click on the positions and assemble your team from random cards. In the Draft mode, you have the opportunity to play with cards that you would never otherwise get your hands on.
In the Draft mode, you play four games in a single-elimination format, meaning that you're eliminated directly after a loss. The more games you win, the better (random) rewards you receive. In many cases, however, the rewards are so poor that you end up making a loss overall when considering the 15,000-coin entry. We'll have to see what rewards we get in the EA FC 24 Draft.
PlayStation Tournaments
In PlayStation Tournaments, you have the opportunity to earn FIFA Points! You can put together the team of your choice (loan players are allowed), sign up for a tournament, and then you're ready to go. Information about registration and rewards can be found in the following link:
Co-op
You have the option to play Squad Battles, Friendlies, and Division Rivals in co-op mode (FUT Champions and qualification are unfortunately only available in single-player mode). To do this, you have to click on the two figures on the far left in the main menu, invite your co-op partner, and then you're good to go. Through co-op mode, you also unlock really good packs, as there are various objectives and milestones that you can achieve in co-op mode.
Objectives
Objectives and milestones are important features in EA FC 24. There are new objectives several times a week, such as cards or packs that you can earn. To do this, you must fulfill certain requirements, such as scoring goals with players from a certain nation.
It is advisable to always keep an eye on the objectives and milestones to not miss out on good players or packs. Goals also run the Season Pass, which in turn offers cosmetics, packs, and unlockable players.
Squad Building Challenges
Another important aspect of Ultimate Team is the Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). Every day at 7 p.m., a new SBC is available, also known as "Content Time" in FIFA circles. With SBCs, you submit cards from your club to unlock packs or players. You have to consider the requirements for each challenge, such as the overall rating and the required chemistry points of the team to be submitted.
At EarlyGame, we regularly report on the best SBCs in EA FC 24.
