FIFA becomes EA FC, and Pro Clubs becomes Clubs. We show you how to quickly level up your pro in Clubs, how to distribute your skill points, which playstyles are the best and how to advance to League 1.
Clubsis the most popular game mode in EA Sports FC 24, along with Ultimate Team and the Career Mode. Compared to the previous "Pro Clubs" in FIFA 23, there have been many changes in FIFA 24 Clubs. We'll show you all the new features in EA FC 24 Clubs and explain how to quickly collect skill points and distribute them optimally. In addition, in this article, you'll find out which archetypes and playstyles are the best for each position.
In our opinion, Clubs is the best game mode in EA FC 24. Here, you don't have to compete against the sweatiness of Ultimate Team and can have fun with your friends. Up to eleven players can play simultaneously, each controlling a Pro, which is just incredibly fun. Get your guys and gals together, form a club, and simply enjoy the new FIFA.
Clubs x VOLTA in EA FC 24
Clubs and VOLTA merged since FIFA 23. Both modes are separate in terms of gameplay, but by playing in either mode, you can unlock cool seasonal items for your Pros. Since this article mainly focuses on Clubs, we will briefly explain VOLTA to you. Here, you can go into a match alone or with friends, based on the "FIFA Street" style of the past. It's all about outsmarting your opponents with skills.
However, VOLTA is by no means as cool as Clubs, and you're probably much more interested in how to level up your Pro quickly and unlock skill points. Here, we have an overview of the topics we will cover in this article:
- Clubs Drop-Ins and Skill Games
- Crossplay
- Pro's Height and Weight
- Fast Leveling in Clubs
- Getting and Distributing Skill Points
- The Best Archetypes
- The Best Playstyles
- The Best Formations
- The Best Instructions
Clubs Drop-Ins and Skill Games
In Drop-Ins, you can play Clubs online when none of your friends are online. Here, you play on a team with random players against other online opponents. This way, you can level up your Pro when no one has time to play. The skill games are designed to introduce beginners to the game and, at the same time, unlock 4,000 XP for leveling up.
However, the problem is that the game crashes after each skill game and needs to be restarted. So, it's better to stay away from it.
EA FC 24 Clubs: Crossplay
For the first time in (Pro) Clubs history, crossplay can be enabled! EA has finally integrated this feature into the game, allowing theoretically 22 players from three different platforms to compete against each other. However, crossplay might sometimes cause in-game lag. If you often have connection problems, try disabling crossplay and see if it works better. Disabling crossplay could lead to longer matchmaking wait times.
EA FC 24 Clubs: Optimal Height and Weight for Your Pro
Naturally, you have full control over the appearance of your Pro; you can make them as ugly as you want. However, when it comes to height and weight, you need to adapt them to the EA FC 24 meta. We've found that in Clubs, there are two different meta types, depending on the AcceleRATE type.
Lengthy is still situational OP and the go-to build for defenders or CDMs. As a striker, you can also play with a Lengthy player, but you'll need to adjust your playstyle accordingly.
But let's start with the standard build, suitable for midfielders and strikers:
Your Pro should not be taller than 1.70 meters, as anything taller is too slow. Speed is crucial in EA FC 24, but we'll explain more about that later. Your Pro should also not weigh more than 70 kilograms, as more weight makes them less agile. Since dribbling with the left stick has already been significantly nerfed, high agility is important. We play our Pro with a height of 1.65 meters and a weight of 53 kilograms.
To get your Pro a Lengthy AcceleRATE type, they must be taller than 1.85 meters and weigh at least 80 kilograms. You can simply experiment to see which build suits your playstyle best. We prefer the small and agile player, as it has a greater impact on the game.
Fast Leveling in EA FC 24 Clubs
In EA FC 24, there are 75 levels to grind. You unlock the final Playstyles+ and skill points at level 75. For every level gained, you receive one skill point. You also receive additional skill points for reaching certain milestones. Once you've unlocked skill points, you should apply them directly to your Pro.
Every successful action in the game increases your overall rating. The higher your rating, the more experience points (XP) you receive at the end of the match. You also get additional XP for special achievements, such as assisting a goal or scoring a goal. The same applies to successful tackles in defense. This method ensures that all positions are equally considered, and no player group is disadvantaged.
Receiving and Distributing Skill Points
In EA FC 24, speed always comes first, regardless of the position. Whether you're a defender, midfielder, or forward, you should prioritize leveling sprint speed and acceleration. Only after that should you focus on the attributes that are important for your position. There are certain attributes that are important for all player types: speed, balance, agility, and weak foot.
The Best Archetypes for Your Pro
Archetypes are unlocked through the skill tree with skill points. Archetypes provide special boosts to specific attributes and are unique depending on the attribute. You can equip up to three archetypes for one Pro, but it takes quite a while to earn the necessary skill points for this. In the image above, you can see the Cheetah archetype, which is the battery icon. When you unlock Cheetah, you get +6 acceleration and +4 sprint speed. Very important. Archetypes should not be confused with Playstyles.
ATTRIBUTE | ARCHETYPE | DESCRIPTION | Values |
Physical | Bull | Play more physical on the field and win duels for the ball | Strength: +11Aggression: +5 |
Physical | Acrobat | Improve jumping ability and stamina | Jumping: +5Stamina: +13 |
Defensive | Guardian | Enhance duels and win them without fouls | Interceptions: +12Defensive Awareness: +7Fair Play Tackles: +5Slide Tackles: +4 |
Dribbling | Maestro | Execute special moves with optimal efficiency | Agility: +12Positioning: +4Dribbling: +6 |
Dribbling | Lynx | Agile and quick movements on the field | Balance: +12Positioning: +4Ball Control: +8 |
Passing | Artist | Deliver outstanding crosses | Vision: +3Crossing: +11Curl: +7 |
Passing | Architect | Create opportunities near the goal | Vision: +3Long Passing: +6Short Passing: +12 |
Shooting | Sniper | Set-piece specialist | Free Kick Accuracy: +13Shot Power: +10Penalties: +6 |
Shooting | Finisher | Create danger with every ball touch | Finishing: +5Long Shots: +12Volleys: +6 |
Speed | Cheetah | Create danger through mobility | Acceleration: +6Sprint Speed: +6 |
Goalkeeping | Hawk | Improve goalkeeper positioning and diving saves | Diving: +9Catching: +7Reflexes: +5Positioning: +5 |
Goalkeeping | Wall | Enhance goalkeeper reactions and positioning | Reflexes: +14Positioning: +12 |
If you're playing as a goalkeeper or defender, it's clear which archetypes to equip. In the offensive positions, you can safely skip "Artist" as it doesn't bring much. Maestro or Lynx are not bad choices for an attacking midfielder. Cheetah should be equipped on every position. For strikers, Finisher is significantly better than Sniper.
The Best Playstyles in EA FC 24 Clubs
Playstyles are the new perks in EA FC. Here, you distinguish between Playstyle and Playstyle+. The benefits of Playstyles are immediately noticeable in-game, especially for Finesseshot and Trickster. In the following table, we've listed the best Playstyles for you.
At level 75, you can equip two Playstyle+ and six "regular" Playstyles. For each attribute (shooting, passing, defending, ball control, physical), you can select a maximum of two or three playstyles depending on the position. It's not possible to fill all slots with playstyles of the same attribute. Once you've equipped a Playstyle, you cannot use its Plus version, and vice versa. Goalkeepers can fill a maximum of four slots with goalkeeper perks; the remaining slots must come from other attributes.
The Effect column describes the abilities you can level up with skill points to make the playstyle even more effective.
Playstyle | Attribute | Description | Effect |
Finesse Shot | Finishing | Executes curved shots faster, with additional spin, and improved accuracy. |
|
Power Shot | Finishing | Executes power shots faster and with increased speed. |
|
Power Header | Finishing | Performs headers with greater power and precision. |
|
Incicive Pass | Passing | Delivers through passes with greater precision, slices through passes with more spin, and precision passes with greater speed. |
|
Through Pass | Passing | Plays faster ground passes without the receiving team member having more trouble receiving the ball. |
|
Block | Defending | Increased range when executing blocks and improved ability to execute successful blocks. |
|
Jockey | Defending | Increased maximum sprint jockey speed and improved transition speed from containment to sprint. |
|
Rapid | Ball Control | Achieves higher sprint speed while dribbling and is less error-prone when sprinting or executing knock-ons. |
|
First Touch | Ball Control | Is less error-prone during ball reception and can transition to dribbling faster and with greater control. |
|
Quick Step | Physical | Accelerates faster during explosive sprints. |
|
Relentless | Physical | Increases recovery during half-time and extra time. Extends the duration of secondary deliveries and partial team pressing. |
|
Quick Reflexes | Goalkeeping | Goalkeepers have increased reflexes and reactions when parrying shots from inside the penalty area. |
|
Rush Out | Goalkeeping | The keeper is more aggressive when rushing out of the penalty area and when intercepting high or long through passes. Goalkeepers move at increased speed. |
|
So, these are the best playstyles for different positions in EA FC 24 Clubs. There are no bad playstyles, but the perks in our list are the ones we liked the most in-game because they have a greater impact. For example, Trickster is fun but not really effective primarily. You can dribble past your opponents, but you often lose the ball to the AI in dribbling situations, which can frustrate your teammates eventually.
The Best Setup for an EA FC 24 Clubs Forward
Since you're most likely playing as a forward, we've presented the three best playstyles for forwards here. Once you reach Level 75 and have access to all playstyles and archetypes, you should apply the following setup for your Pro:
- Position: ST
- Height: 165cm
- Weight: 55 kilograms
- Archetype: Finisher & Cheetah
- Playstyles: Finesseshot+, Quick Step+, Power Shot, Power Header, First Touch, Relentless, Rapid
Tips and Tricks for EA FC 24
In Clubs, you can use various formations and tactics for your team. In EA FC 24, the 5-at-the-back formation is really strong, especially when AI defends for you. However, we must emphasize: never play as "Any," which means controlling the Bots in Clubs. AI-controlled players move very sluggishly and differently from other EA FC 24 game modes.
Therefore, you should leave the defending to the AI, even though they may occasionally make serious mistakes. It's still better than having one of your teammates responsible for AI defense. In 1-on-1 situations, it's also challenging to beat the Bots, and skill moves are quite ineffective. However, if someone plays as "Any," then this changes, and you'll have to deal with 80 OVR Bots controlled by Trickster+ players.
The Best Formations and Tactics
Now, let's talk about formations and tactics. As mentioned earlier, the 5-at-the-back formation is (unfortunately) very strong. The Bots maintain their positions at the back while you and your friends can score goals up front. The 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 formation works best for this. When the full-backs have the ball, the forwards can request a pass into space, sprint to the byline, and deliver a cross or low pass into the middle. We've scored numerous goals in Clubs using this approach.
If you don't want to use a 5-at-the-back formation, you should consider the 4-4-2, 4-1-2-1-2 (2), or 4-3-2-1 formation. These formations are not as defensive but provide more space and opportunities offensively.
For all different formations, you should give the following instructions to the Bots:
- Full-backs: Stay back while attacking
- CDM: Stay back while attacking, Cover the center
- CM: Stay back while attacking
You don't want the Bots to crowd the front during attacks, right?
EA FC 24 Clubs: Playoffs
Clubs has received a new league system in EA FC 24, divided into leagues and playoffs. A league season lasts for six weeks, during which you can position your team for the playoffs. The higher your skill rating and league, the greater the rewards awaiting you.
League Matches:
Starting from Division 5, there is no longer a limited number of games in which you need to collect points for promotion. In EA 24, every point your club earns contributes to success. Losses do not decrease your club's total points and, therefore, do not lead to relegation. However, this doesn't mean it will be easy. Each new division brings tougher opponents and a higher points target for promotion matches.
Playoffs:
Once your club has reached the required number of points in its division, the promotion matches begin. These matches are crucial for your promotion while playing in the Clubs league divisions. A draw won't help you here: your club must win a certain number of games out of a predetermined total (e.g., 1 out of 3 games). If you achieve the necessary victories, you can celebrate promotion. If not, your club remains in the current division but with a reduced total score, meaning you're only one step away from the next attempt.
Upon your club's promotion, you will be rewarded with club bonuses. These bonuses can come in the form of fans that boost your club's reputation or as club customization items that commemorate your ascents through the divisions.
Each new season offers you the opportunity to obtain theme-based club customization items. Each set includes a jersey kit, choreography, and a stadium bundle. And if you reach the highest Elite division, you can unlock the complete set.
At the start of the playoffs, all clubs are divided into groups based on their division. Each club must play a set number of games to ascend as high as possible in the playoff table of their division.
Playoff matches are extremely crucial. Draws are not an option as they always lead to extra time and penalties to determine the winner. Goal difference can be crucial here. So, if you hang in there until the end, your club's chances of outperforming the competition increase.
After completing all your club's playoff matches during the season, you can continue to play league matches to increase your club's reputation and skill rating. However, you can no longer earn points for promotion.
EA FC Clubs: Playoff Bonuses
At the end of each Clubs league season, you and your club receive rewards and bonuses based on your playoff performance. Clubs playoffs offer the best opportunity to boost your club's reputation, and the most coveted prize is the Clubs League Cup.
Every Pro who participates in at least one playoff match for their club and remains part of the squad at the end of the season receives VOLTA Coins. With these coins, you can acquire the latest outfits in the VOLTA shop and earn season points to increase the joint season progress of Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL. The higher your club's division and rank, the more you receive. All playoff rewards will be delivered to you and your club after a brief bonus calculation period once you re-enter the Clubs area.
Once the previous season is complete, a new season begins. Clubs are reset to their original division, and the journey to the top starts anew.
That's it for our tips and tricks for Clubs and VOLTA in EA FC 24! Have fun gaming!
