Clubs In EA Sports FC 24: New League System Revealed

Up to now you have played the well-known seasons system in Pro Clubs. You start in league 10 and have to play your way up to league 1. According to the leaks, this system will be history for clubs in EA Sports FC.

The new league system is similar to Division Rivals from FUT. The Elite Division is the highest league. In Rivals, there are eleven leagues, but you have as many games as you want to advance to the next higher league, from which you can no longer be relegated.

A Clubs Season is supposed to last five weeks, during which you can advance to the Elite Division. After these five weeks there will be a week in which playoffswill be played. That sounds really exciting.

To what extent the matchmaking will work remains to be seen. But the system definitely has potential. With playoff games, the grind would finally pay off. So far, you haven't received any rewards if you've been promoted to a higher league or even won the first division.

For a better overview, there is a calendar in the menu that even shows you the record of the past days. Let's say you play on a Friday, the 29th club, then you will see the statistics of 5-2-3 (W-D-L). The calendar also shows when the playoffs start. So you can plan when everyone has time to play.

This is what the Pro Clubs menu looks like from the beta version:

EA FC 24: Crossplay For Pro Clubs Confirmed

EA Sports has confirmed that FC 24 Pro Clubs will feature crossplay! This is one of the biggest innovations announced in the Reveal Livestream.

Crossplay will only work within the same console generation, meaning the following platforms can play EA FC 24 Clubs with each other:

  • PS4 & Xbox One
  • PS5 & Xbox Series X/S & PC

Crossplay between PS4 and PS5, for example, is not possible.

Pro Clubs will be a really cool mode that will certainly benefit from crossplay. We initially had our doubts that EA would be able to merge up to 22 players via crossplay. But the developers have done a good job.

This is how crossplay works in EA FC 24 Pro Clubs

For the first time, there will be cross-platform leaderboards in Pro Clubs. The leaderboards will be filtered based on whether you have opted in or out of crossplay. This means that the players and clubs you see in the leaderboards throughout the game will depend on your crossplay status.

When crossplay is disabled, you will only see players or clubs on the same platform.

In the club leaderboards, your club will not be associated with a specific platform, and the leaderboard will display all clubs, regardless of whether you have crossplay enabled or not.

Lobbies also operate based on your crossplay status. The first player in a lobby, or the host of the game, determines whether a lobby is opted in for crossplay or not, and this cannot be changed once set.

To change the crossplay status of a lobby, all players must leave the lobby, and the host needs to modify their crossplay settings and invite friends again. Each lobby gets a notification indicating whether crossplay is enabled or not.

Your crossplay status also affects which player information you can see in clubs. If you, as a club manager, have rejected crossplay, you will not be able to see transfer requests from cross-platform players until you change your opt-in status.

Pro Clubs will also be playable on the Nintendo Switch for the first time, unfortunately without crossplay.

Fans And Reputation

From Sunday League to Champions League, that is how your Clubs experience can go. Each team begins with low rated AI-players in a small stadium with just a handful of fans. Win games to improve your team, attract more fans and subsequently expand your stadium.

From time to time, there will be more choreographies and decoration possibilities for your stadium. Titles that you won in the new league system can be displayed in the stadiums, to show the world how good your team is.

Additionally, there will be more options for player customization. So you can express your creativity even more.

Remember that the game is still in development. We'll keep you posted on the changes - and if you missed the teaser trailer for EA Sports FC, you can watch it via the link.
