Usually two goals and an assist would be enough for a top striker from a top team, from a top league to break into the week's FIFA 21 TOTW. That won't be the case for Cavani.
Uruguayan goalscoring machine Edinson Cavani has been utilized mostly as a substitute by Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since joining the team as a free agent. That has kept the striker rather quiet so far this season, but that all changed in the Red Devils' last league match.

Cavani once again came off the bench in Sunday's EPL clash between Southampton and Manchester United. He was far from quiet this time. Two goals and an assist resulted in a splendid comeback by the visitors from being 2-0 down to achieving a 3-2 victory.
FIFA 21 players might be forgiven for expecting they could snatch an In-Form card of the Uruguay international when this week's TOTW 10 comes out. They would be wrong in their assumptions, however, because Edinson Cavani won't place a foot anywhere near TOTW 10.
TOTW 10 Will Manage Without Edinson Cavani
Cavani won't be on TOTW 10 and it's not because there are five other strikers that scored four goals each on the weekend. Nope. The reason is much more trivial. The Man United man simply isn't part of the FIFA 21 FUT setup.
Yep. One of the deadliest strikers in the world is chilling in Career Mode instead of bagging goals for your FUT squad. Edinson Cavani was added in FIFA 21 post-launch because of his free-agent status prior to joining United. For some unexplained reason, he was placed on the Manchester United roster in every game mode except Ultimate Team.

This hasn't changed nearly two months into FIFA 21's tenure and that can only leave us puzzled. Cavani isn't the biggest name in FUT due to his advancing age and declining pace, which is crucial in FIFA. He is still starring on one of the most popular football clubs in the world and it was no surprise that search engines were broken by FIFA players wondering why they can't find even a Gold version of Edinson Cavani in FIFA 21.
There's minor hope that EA Sports will react to it all by quick-fixing this major absence, but with TOTW 10 around the corner, time is running out for such a patch to happen.
