FIFA 21 Ultimate Team is entering Season 5. As usual, there will be plenty of cosmetic content and packs. The most coveted rewards are of course the six storyline players that are unlocked at levels 15 and 30. We will tell you which ones to pick.
Just in time for the celebration of FUT Birthday, FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Season 5 begins. A major part of it all are the six storyline cards that arrive at levels 15 and 30. Which ones are worth it?
FUT 21 Season 5 Level 15 Rewards: Who Should I Choose?
At the midway point of the season, at level 15, there will be three players valued at 86 OVR. You will need to accumulate 27,600 experience points to secure one of the special cards:
- CAM: Angel Gomes (Boavista) - 86 OVR
- LW: Tariqe Fosu (Brentford) - 86 OVR
- ST: Obafemi Martins (Wuhann Zall) - 86 OVR
Angel Gomes provides good links through his nation, but his stats are worse than the other candidates'. Choosing between Fosu and Martins boils down to your FUT squad and some minor details.
Fosu has a 3-star weak foot, but Martins has that value for skill moves, which is worse at the striker position. He also lacks composure, which could drive you crazy in crucial moments of a match.
Our recommendation: Tariqe Fosu
FUT 21 Season 5 Level 30 Rewards: Who Should I Choose?
The three players that await you at level 30 are much more exciting. No wonder. After all, you have to collect 100,000 experience points by May 7, which is only possible if you complete almost all challenges and goals (for example in Squad Battles or Division Rivals). If you do that, you can choose from the following players:
- RM: Antonio Candreva (Sampdoria) - 88 OVR
- ST: Jimmy Briand (Bordeaux) - 88 OVR
- RM: Erik Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur) - 89 OVR
Highest OVR doesn't always mean you're the best player in a FIFA 21 room, but it does in this case. Candreva is only viable for people playing a Serie A FUT squad, because he is otherwise worse than Lamela, who plays the same position, in every single way.
That leaves us with a choice between the Argentine and Briand. Jimmy is good, but those dribbling stats are unacceptable for a FIFA 21 striker, hence why we would go for the Tottenham Hotspur player.
Erik Lamela with Hunter chemistry style is a 92 OVR winger. He also comes with the strong Finesse Shot trait, which almost makes us forget about his 3-star weak foot.
Our recommendation: Erik Lamela
We've helped you with the picks, but you must get to that point first. It will take a lot of FIFA 21 gaming to get you where you want to be, but at least now you know which are the best prizes.
