The Festival of FUTball (FoF) promo event is ready to make way for the Summer Stars. What are these new cards going to be like? We will explain their mechanics and which players are likely to participate.
The Summer Stars will be released in FIFA 21 on Friday, but there is plenty you can keep yourself busy with until then. To keep yourself updated, check out our SBC tracker and our Festival of FUTball tracker.
FIFA 21 Summer Stars Release Date
The FIFA 21 Summer Stars will be released in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team on Friday, July 2, at 7pm CET. We assume that there will be multiple teams, similar to Festival of FUTball and other FUT events in the past. The players will be available in packs, and we also expect a ton of SBC content on the side.
What Is the FIFA 21 Summer Stars Event?
The Summer Stars are the best players of the past month, meaning the best performers at EURO 2020 and Copa America 2021. The trick here is that players with FoF cards won't be eligible for a Summer Stars one. For example, we won't see an Eden Hazard Summer Stars card.
Summer Stars Prediction
Ranking the best players at each position is somewhat subjective, of course. Especially in non-attacking positions, where you can simply look at goals and assists. Nevertheless, we tried, so here is our selection of the best players from the European Championship up to this point:
- GK: Robin Olsen (Sweden/Everton)
- RB: Denzel Dumfires (Netherlands/PSV Eindhoven)
- CB: Harry Maguire (England/Manchester United)
- CB: Andreas Christensen (Denmark/Chelsea)
- LB: Leandro Spinazzola (Italy/Roma)
- CDM: Manuel Locatelli (Italy/Sassuolo)
- CM: Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium/Manchester City)
- LM: Robin Gosens (Germany/Atalanta)
- LM: Raheem Sterling (England/Manchester City)
- ST: Patrick Schick (Czech Republic/Bayer Leverkusen)
- ST: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Juventus)
FIFA 21 Summer Stars Upgrades
The Summer Stars will be dynamic cards that will automatically upgrade similar to FoF cards. We don't know what the requirements for these upgrades are going to be, and quite frankly, it's difficult to guess what these requirements may be with both tournaments already in their closing stages. We will have to wait until Friday and see.
