FIFA Ultimate Team will get a new card type in the upcoming FIFA 22. The special cards are called FUT Heroes. Here's an explanation of how these cards are going to work and who gets a Hero card.
EA finally feeds our hungry mouths with delicious news about FIFA 22. After the first trailer was shown and the release date was set for October 1, 2021, we receive the first bit of info about FIFA Ultimate Team.
There will be more than just regular Icons in FIFA 22. The new special cards for retired players are called FUT Heroes and will provide new exciting options in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. EA presented the first Heroes and let us know what these cards are going to do.
How do FUT Heroes Cards Work?
FUT Heroes is all about celebrating players who have produced unforgettable moments for their clubs and have thus become absolute fan favorites. EA's official homepage has the following description:
FUT Heroes have unique league-specific chemistry which is tied to their specific hero moment, providing a green Club link to any player within the same league as well as the usual nation link, giving you new ways to build your dream squad and recreate some of football's most famous moments in FUT 22.
Nice, nice. So the Heroes primarily serve to push the FUT chemistry. What remains, is the question of how effective these new cards are going to be. When we take a look at the announced Heroes, we don't really see any big sprinters...
There's been some confusion over how FUT Heroes Cards will link in #FIFA22 so I thought I'd make this to (hopefully) clear things up. More Info: https://t.co/YYfp71mZ1T pic.twitter.com/sHH4omr9W8
