This one is actually pretty funny. First the Ligue 1 Twitter account leaked the promo, then EA followed up and officially announced the cards... even though they are only coming to FIFA Ultimate Team in December. The new cards are dedicated to young players who will shape the future of European soccer.

FIFA 22 Next Generation In FUT – All Cards And How To Get Them

So far, six players have been announced. Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, AC Milan's Theo Hernandez, Chelsea FC's Christian Pulisic, Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga, Manchester City's Phil Foden and Paris Saint-Germain's wonder boy Kylian Mbappé. Why these players?

EA says that "the Next Generation item ratings correspond to each player’s ability at the time of their decisive moment." So Mbappé wasn't that good at the beginning, but the other players performed better than their rating is now.... thanks, EA, really making a lot of sense there. Still: the best thing about this is, that every FIFA 22 FUT player gets a card for free!

To be honest, this promo is not really blowing our socks of. If you look at the ratings, you wonder what these cards are supposed to do for you in December. At least you get one for free. But after the disappointing Numbers Up promo, a couple of nicer cards, which everyone has the chance to get, would have been cool.
