In FIFA 23, there is one player who is clearly better than everyone else. We can already reveal that he has a lot of pace – and EA created a new best player in FUT with Title Update 4.
Looking at the official FIFA 23 Top 100 Ratings,we can see that a total of 5 players got a 91 rated card. But are those the same cards you should use in your FUT Champs squad? Are they among the very best of the FUT meta? Well... most of them aren't, even though way more different players are good this year.
Even Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo aren't on top of the FIFA-hill anymore – still, they're certainly two of the best football players of all time, there's no doubt about that. But everything comes to an end, even the era of the two GOAT's!
Messi and Ronaldo are playing their last World Cup, and both of them are on their last years of playing at the big stage, so their FUT 23 cards aren't what they used to be...
The Best Player In FIFA 23
Kevin De Bruyne, Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema have a rating of 91, so according to EA Sports, these five are the best footballers we currently got all over the world. Opinions are bound to differ on this, and some might choose other players.
For us, none of the players mentioned above deserve to be called the best player in FIFA 23. There's a new king in town and his name is... JOHN CENA. Jk. A long time after the release, Erling Haaland was the best meta player in FIFA 23 and held onto the crown. This is due to the AcceleRATE meta – lengthy players were the best and Erling Haaland is the best lengthy player. Trust us. He. Was. Unstoppable. His price was at 400k!
But it's all over now. EA completely changed the FIFA 23 running style meta with Title Update 4 and ended Haaland's dominance in November. The Lengthy players were nerfed, and the Controlled and Explosive players were buffed. Haaland's previously unstoppable runs to the front are now gone and his price range shattered.
It's really a shame, because before you could play very well with Cristiano Ronaldo too, for example. But with 81 pace, he's not meta anymore. FIFA 23 is pretty much back to: "pace wins" after this update. And that's why someone else is back... back again.
FIFA 23: Kylian Mbappé Is The Best Meta Player
Kylian Mbappé's back. Tell a friend. After FIFA 21 and 22 he is now back on top in FIFA 23.
Nobody is faster than him (we're focusing on gold cards here – but shoutout to Saeed speed cheat Al-Owairan with his 99 pace) and Mbappé's finish is also unique. In combination with 5-star skills, plus his body type... enough said. Among the normal cards, there is none that can compete with him.
You just don't want to see Mbappé in your opponent's squad, and especially not his Road to the World Cup. And this won't be his last special card. He just gets better and better with each additional one...
