The EFL Championship isn't followed by many football fans now, so we'll give you a bit of background on some of these players. Burnley FC have only conceded 35 goals in 45 games so far, which is absolutely amazing. That's why there's no way around giving three Burnley players a TOTS card. Connor Roberts has already received two in-form cards in the course of FIFA 23, he is considered the RB set in the TOTS. Next to him is Burnley's CB duo, consisting of Taylor Harwood-Bellis and German Jordan Beyer. Will Burnley be able to keep these players despite promotion?

The best player of the current Championship season according to sofascore.com are Ryan Manning and Oliver Norwood. The Northern Irishman doesn't have a really great FIFA card because he's simply not the quickest. And in FIFA it's all about pace. But in real football he can make up for his lack of pace with strong positional play. Hopefully EA will give Norwood at least 80 pace on his TOTS card (which would still be little, but still a clear upgrade).

Now let's face it, we all get our hopes up for a huge pull during TOTS. It's just all about opening those saved packs, so a new controller is a must.

In the Championship, many top teams play with a three-man or five-man defensive back, with the wing-backs regularly getting involved offensively. We have two outstanding players on the left of midfield. One is Ryan Manning from Swansea City, the other Alfie Doughty from Luton Town. These two players should be able to play several positions through their TOTS card, so you can set up your EFL team flexibly.

The forwards are something special every year in the Championship, because here the TOTS cards are always significantly upgraded. Chuba Akpom has already scored 28 goals in the current season. We assume that he will get at least a 93 OVR. The Swede Viktor Gyökeres has already collected 31 goals and assists in total –, his card should also be usefull.
