FIFA 21 Title Updates have been passing around PS5 and Xbox Series X|S without parking in their garage. That all changed with the release of the first proper patch for next gen consoles. All of the changes will be familiar to PC, PS4 and Xbox One users.
FIFA 21 was released in its next gen format on December 4. Since then, a couple of big updates were introduced to the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, but nothing arrived to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Ten days after launch, next gen FIFA has its first Title Update!
FIFA 21 Next Gen Title Update
The Title Update introduced to next gen FIFA 21 is nothing exclusive. The same changes that are now being applied on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S were already in the other versions of the game. These include stuff as improved referee logic, better AI blocking and interceptions, slowing down certain types of crosses and making volleys a bit harder to perform.
We've gone through all of that in a bit more detail in our original Title Update 7 article. That's as far as regular gameplay is concerned. On the bug-fixing side of things... oh, boy.
We're not exaggerating by saying that it would take a few minutes to read all the bugs that have been covered in this update. Gameplay bugs such as goalkeepers diving like fish in inappropriate moments are just a small sample.
FUT and VOLTA in particular have been causing players a lot of headaches on next gen and a lot of patch notes are dedicated to making the modes less broken. To see all of those sweet Title Update notes, go to the EA FIFA Forum.
