EA SPORTS is bringing back the Pre-Season promo event in FIFA 21, giving us the chance to get some FIFA 22 FUT rewards before the next installment comes out.The first time we were able to play the pre-season promo event was in FIFA 20. Back then, it was in the context of Summer Heat. It's so players can earn some rewards before the early access phase of FIFA 22 with EA Play or the special editions. Pre-Season is supposed to return in FIFA 22 and get us some rewards for FIFA 22!
What is the Pre-Season-Event in FIFA 21?
Traditionally, August is not the best time to play FIFA Ultimate Team. Especially for new players, as they are likely to run into Team of The Year cards even in the lower leagues and have trouble getting even a single win.With the Pre-Season event, it could be worthwhile to play FIFA again and have a look at Ultimate Team. Because the last event in FIFA 21 brings us SBCs and Objectives – which we can redeem in FIFA 22!

When is the FIFA-Pre-Season starting?
The FIFA Pre-Season Event started on August 27th at 7 p.m. and ensures a smooth transition to the last promo action in FIFA 21 after the end of the FUTTIES event.
What are the Rewards in FIFA Pre-Season?
In the FIFA 21 Pre-Season there are again a number of bonuses that can be unlocked for the upcoming FIFA 22. In the first week of the pre-season you can grab the following items:
- FUT 22 Coin Boost (5 games x 1000 coins) x 2
- FUT 22 Kick Starter Pack
- FUT 22 League of Your Own Pack
The FUT 22 quick start pack contains the following items: 5 chemistry styles, 5 rare gold player contracts, 1 FUT 21 jersey selection and 1 gold player pack.
The FUT 22 “A League of Your Own” pack, on the other hand, offers you: a 3 gold Bundesliga players pack, a 3 gold LaLiga players pack, and a 3 gold Ligue 1 players Pack, a 3 gold Premier League players pack and a 3 gold Serie A players pack.

SBCs & Objectives
It starts with the daily Warm-Up SBC. By the way, if you complete 5 of them in a row, you will get the FUT 22 coin boost! It is definitely worth taking a look at this SBC. The SBCs are of course limited in time. The first SBC only requires one team. The requirements are low, as are the rewards: a gold player pack is your first prize.
At the same time as the Warm-Up SBC, two showdown SBCs were also released. In the course of the clash between Cagliari and Milan, you can get Diego Godin (95 OVR) and Samuel Castillejo (95 OVR) for a limited time. You have to give up only one team for each player. The minimum rating of the squad has to be at least 82, the team chemistry should be at least 60. With Castillejo, you also have to add a player from Milan to the team, with Godin a player from Serie A is enough.
As usual, the ratings of the showdown cards can still change. If one player wins, the rating goes up two points. A draw lets both players rise by one point.
Best-of-Packs: Which Players return in Pre-Season?
Some of the best special cards from the past season are returning in the FUT Pre-Season! In addition to the TOTS Lionel Messi (98 OVR) or TOTY Kylian Mbappé (97 OVR), some Summer Stars and Path to Glory cards are also returning. This link provides a better overview over all available players.
