Manchester City's English midfielder Phil Foden apparently likes to relax with a good round of FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. This was apparently also the case after the League Cup semi-final against local rivals Manchester United, after which Foden played a little FUT. How do we know? His team was spotted!
After Steven Bergwijn, Phil Foden is the second Premier League player whose team has been spotted in FUT this month. The English youngster played a round of FIFA 21 after the League Cup semi-final against Manchester United last week and, as one might suspect, has an extremely strong squad at his disposal.
Phil Foden's FIFA 21 FUT Squad
Apparently Foden is a frequent player in FIFA 21 and the FUT Champions Weekend League in particular, because his team includes the red Rewards card of Paul Pogba from rivals Manchester United.
In addition to his own Pro Player card, Foden lines up two Man City teammates, five Icons and the aforementioned Pogba in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. His squad is completed by Serie A stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Theo Hernandez, who was just included in Headliners Team 2.
Phil Foden's Roster
- GK: Ederson - 89 OVR (Manchester City)
- RB: Carlos Alberto - 90 OVR (Mid Icon)
- CB: Kyle Walker - 86 OVR (Manchester City)
- CB: Paolo Maldini - 92 OVR (Prime Icon)
- LB: Theo Hernandez - 85 OVR (Milan)
- CDM: Ruud Gullit - 90 OVR (Mid Icon)
- CM: Paul Pogba - 87 OVR (Manchester United)
- CM: Cristiano Ronaldo - 93 OVR (Juventus/Piemonte Calcio)
- CAM: Ronaldo - 94 OVR (Mid Icon)
- ST: Phil Foden - 99 OVR (Manchester City)
- ST: Pelé - 95 OVR (Mid Icon)
No surprises, this is a stacked lineup. The best defender in FIFA 21 (Maldini) and the best forward duo in the game (Ronaldo and Pelé), as well as everyone's favorite Icon (Gullit) make sure that each area of the pitch is covered.
Some might question his decisions regarding Pogba and Hernandez, as they are neither his teammates nor Icon players. For Theo, there's an easy explanation - he's really, really good! As for Pogba, it remains a mystery. A closet United fan maybe?
