Thibaut Courtois has been in the FIFA 21 news cycle of late. The Belgian goalkeeper first made headlines by criticizing his FUT Pro Player card. He then went on to reveal his entire FIFA 21 FUT squad. No lies detected, the Pro Player card isn't there.
Real Madrid shotstopper Thibaut Courtois is apparently an avid FIFA player. We already knew that once he said he prefers his 90-rated TOTW card over the 99 OVR Pro Player version, which he called "rubbish". That bit was confirmed once Courtois unveiled his entire FUT lineup.
Thibaut Courtois' FIFA 21 FUT Squad
Professional football players always have strong squads for obvious reasons, but they also always seem to have at least one surprising pick in their team. That was the case with Erling Haaland and Phil Foden's lineups and Courtois' is no different.
He has the resident Icons, five of them actually. With the exception of Kylian Mbappé, the supporting cast does not look that impressive though. We already mentioned the Belgian's preference for his own 90-rated card, but that's not the only odd choice he's made. Paul Pogba is in central midfield, despite many better options there. Courtois also values pace at full back where he goes for Theo Hernandez and Juan Cuadrado. Both are good, yet far from the best at their position. The final ingredient is Raphaël Varane at CB, which is totally fine by us. Man's a beast.
Of course, this is Thibaut Courtois's squad and we're not in a position to judge it. I know my squad is s#*t, so how could I? Kudos to him once again for going for the lower-rated version of himself.
