Yeah you read that right. Fortnite's Season 3 and the event "The Device" have been postponed again. The postponement marathon from Epic Games continues.
Epic Games has done it again. After Season 3 was already postponed to Thursday, June 11th, and the live event to Saturday, June 6th, they got cold feet again. Season 3 is postponed yet again. We've known for quite some time that the big gaming company is not that keen on punctuality, but now to the open questions.
What are the excuses now?
Please don't take this the wrong way: A game can always be postponed if it's not finished on time. This is not the first or second but the third time Season 3 gets postponed and we're talking about excuses now. This isn't also the first time Epic delays the release of a season as it has happened plenty of times before. The company always finds a good reason why.

why does fortnite give a date to when the season is gonna end if they delay it every season?

Epic Games has now announced the following:
Recent events are a heavy reminder of ongoing injustices in society, from the denial of basic human rights to the impact of racism both overt and subtle against people of color. We're acutely aware of the pain our friends, families, team members, players, and communities are experiencing. We believe in equality and justice, diversity and inclusion, and that these fundamentals are above politics. The team is eager to move Fortnite forward, but we need to balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.
If this is the real reason behind the renewed delay of Season 3, we don't want to be the black Peter here. This is a sensitive issue and if the employees really did get their time off, which is the reason for the delay, we can absolutely understand that. However, we can't avoid the fear that Epic Games is strictly using the current situation to push the bug away. Instead of the second delay of a few days, they should have simply allowed more time for the preparations directly. And the protests in America didn't just start recently.
Moreover, the communication is again happening at the last minute. The day after tomorrow would have been the date for the live event. Last time the fans were also informed about the delay only two days beforehand.
When was Season 3 and Doomsday postponed this time?
The live event The Device or Doomsday as the fans call it has been moved to Monday, June 15th. The start of Season 3 is now scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th. It wouldn't be too surprising if we get another delay by then. How long can Epic cry wolf?
Something else was postponed too
We reported that according to some leakers the next known streamer after Ninja would get their own skin. Up to now the date of the release hadn't been officially announced, but the leakers suspected the release of Loserfruit Cosmetics this week. While talking about it, Loserfruit says that the release will be delayed and looks pretty disappointed. Given what's going on in the United States and around the world right now, she understands the situation.
She reports that the skin will not come this week. She continues "next week is the new season, so it won't come even then", so fans may be more likely to discover the Loserfruit skin in the item shop at the end of June.

We'll see if Epic Games will stick to its new dates and if both Season 3 and Doomsday will be held on the dates mentioned above. Until then, all the Fortnite news will be available on EarlyGame. For example Ninja's $480K Fortnite tournament on Mixer.
