Challenges for Week 7 of Fortnite's Chapter 2, Season 3 were released yesterday and we made you a little promise. We promised to help you find all the rings in the air of the Weeping Woods and we tend to keep to our word. Let's hunt down those rings!
Fortnite is back with some new challenges that encourage players to move to new areas on the map and do some Dora The Explorer stuff. Technically, these are old areas, but now that the water has sunk, they feel like new additions. This week, Fortnite players will be asked to collect rings in the air of Weeping Woods, among other things. We'll show you where those are located, so you can stroll through the challenge faster.
Rings in the Air at Weeping Woods
Weeping Woods reappeared after the water update from yesterday. If you have not played Fortnite since the last map update, this place is greyed out and needs to be "rediscovered" in the southeast of the map.
As far as the rings are concerned, you are lucky, because they are all relatively close together. The difficult part is to grab them out of the air. In case that wasn't made clear by the repeated mentioning of air, the rings are all above the treetops, so you're going to need some materials to reach them.
Here are the locations of each ring:
Acquiring the first ring is easy peasy - just land on one of the trees. Then you will have to build yourself up to the others. Sounds scarier than it is. We're in the woods after all, plenty of wood to go around. The best way to collect the rings is to use the Group Wedges mode, as you will have several attempts to collect the rings if an opponent eliminates you at the beginning of the round. After all, you're not the only person who wants to master this challenge.
In short:
- There is a ring on a tree in the northwest corner of the forest. It's best to land here at the beginning of the round.
- There's a ring just below it on a tree in the far east of the forest.
- There is a ring below it on a tree in the southeast of the forest.
- There are two more rings on the treetops right near the one at the south-eastern lower edge of the forest.
There may be more rings on other trees, but it is enough to collect these five to complete the challenge. As a reward you will receive 35,000 XP.
