Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 is nearing its end. There isn’t much time left for all challenges so take a look at how to unlock the Midas Ghost or Shadow Skin.
One of this week's challenges will require players to eliminate other players or bots with Legendary or Boss weapons. Once this is done, that weapon can be immediately dropped into a Ghost or Shadow dropbox. However, 18 other Midas mission challenges must be completed first. Only then can you choose a faction and start the mission. It's wise to decide which faction to choose, after all, the choice is permanent and irreversible.
Ghost/Shadow transfer boxes
If you have chosen Ghost, the legendary weapon must logically be brought to the Ghost delivery boxes. The same applies to Shadow, where the weapons belong in the Shadow boxes. We've had to deliver several items to them over the course of the season, so you may already be familiar with them. The symbol on the boxes indicates what kind of box it is.
For those of you who have only recently begun completing the challenges, here is what they look like and which skin they unlock.
These boxes are scattered all over the map. They are mainly located in densely populated areas. On the picture below you can see the exact locations.
Midas Ghost/Shadow Mission
So now that we know where the transfer boxes are and we have decided on a group, the real task begins. This consists of delivering two legendary weapons to the boxes of the selected faction. The legendary weapons in Fortnite are colored orange, which makes them striking and very easy to recognize. You can find them in all game modes, although they are more common in Team Mode. While you may not like giving away these rare weapons just like that, we're going to show you three ways to make this easier.
The classic way is to search for a legendary weapon. This can be done by searching through boxes, supplies, and loot spots. You can also find a weapon by fishing. The following weapons are available in legendary quality:
- Assault Rifle
- Heavy assault rifle
- Salvo Assault Rifle
- Silenced assault rifle
- Minigun
- Pistol
- Tactical Shotgun
- Shotgun
- Heavy sniper rifle (only found on shadow henchmen and in shadow base safes)
- Silenced sniper rifle (only found on Ghost henchmen and in Ghost base safes from The Agency and The Yacht)
- Rocket launcher
- Kingsman
There are also the boss weapons of Deadpool, Midas, TnTina, Brutus, Sky, and Meowscles. These are not strictly speaking legendary weapons, but "mythical" ones, they still count though. You just have to defeat one of the bosses and pick up its lot. The weapons are as follows:
- Deadpool's Hand Cannons (defeat Deadpool at The Yacht)
- Skye's assault rifle (defeat Skye in The Shark)
- Sore muscles scratch rifle (defeat sore muscles at The Yacht)
- TnTina's Ka-boom bow (defeat TnTina at The Rig)
- Brutus' Minigun (defeat Brutus at The Grotto)
- Midas' drum gun (defeat Midas at The Agency)
And even if all the looting doesn't help and the boss weapons have already been taken by other players, there is still another way to get the legendary weapons. You can take purple Epic Rare Weapons to upgrade workbenches, and upgrade them to Legendary Rare in exchange for materials. You will need 200 of each material. If you decide to use this method, it is best to play the Group Wedges mode. This is the fastest way to farm the materials and spawn again after death, so it's not that bad if you get surprised by enemies while upgrading.
We hope you enjoy completing the missions. If you're looking for more Fortnite, you can read all about the FNCS Invitational on EarlyGame. You can always just chill and have fun in the new Party Royale mode. Stay tuned for more Fortnite news.
