Fortnite is currently in the midst of a collaboration with Marvel and will see players eventually battle the mighty Galactus towards the end of the season. But outside of the Fortnite story, a lot is happening in the competitive Fortnite scene. More and more, tournaments are held where the players can prove their skills in an open format. The DreamHack Online Open is here, and we will tell you everything about registration, schedules, and the prize pool.

DreamHack Open Format
Fans throughout Europe and North America can participate in the Open and available on all platforms.
The last 100 players who make it to the finals will compete for the $250,000 over 6 matches. Points must be earned in two heats (qualification tournaments) per region. Each heat qualifies 750 players for the Grand Final Qualifiers. Each player can play a maximum of 10 games during the 3-hour heat. From a total of 1500 players, 100 will advance to the Grand Final.
DreamHack is a solo tournament and the age restriction is 13 years old. Before participation, you have to confirm this by filling out an application form.
Points Needed and Prize Money
The points are awarded like most other Fortnite tournaments:
- 1st place - 60 points
- 2nd place - 53 points
- 3rd place - 49 points
- 4th place - 47 points
- 5th place - 46 points
- …
- 50th place - 1 point
Each elimination - 5 points
