Snow place like home

Fortnite saw several drastic changes to the Battle Royale map during December of 2019, with the entire island covered in snow during the Christmas season. Тwo weeks after the festive period, the island began to change and the snow started to melt so now only a small area remains covered.

All seems well, yes? Well, no. While most of the map regions with snow had melted, Pleasant Park seemed to be an exception here, so we could speculate an entirely new area could be coming to the map if things continue this way. Pleasant Park is located just northwest of the central island and has been altered slightly over the past few days, players have noted. The area is now incredibly dusty with some parts no longer there, giving rise to speculations that Epic could be making room for something much, much bigger with the release of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2.

For some context, Pleasant Park has been on the game’s Battle Royale map since the very beginning back in 2017. It is one of a handful of places that have never been removed, had their name changed or received any major tweaks – until now at least. Many players are speculating it could be a visual glitch but so far Epic Games haven’t made an official comment on the matter.

Fortnite’s Chapter 2, Season 2 is scheduled to release early February 2020 so we can expect many changes to take place given the first Chapter has brought us dramatic map changes. For now, we can only wait and watch the grass grow.
