Patch 13.30 is live and with the update we received bug fixes and other features. The long-awaited cars are still not in the game though. Not really that surprising.

Since the start of the third season, the fans of Fortnite have been waiting for the release of the cars. One of the trailers released by Epic on the day of the start of Season 3 already showed their arrival - and the hype was huge. With the new patch, the expectations for the car release were high, but the fans were let down yet again. Instead of having cars going live to the game, everyone - even the non-driving cars - were simply removed. Wow, Epic.

No cars with patch 13.30

The trailer promised that the current Battle Pass will offer "new ways to get around" and showed footage of some of the Fortnite cars that are planned to appear in the game.

At that time, Epic Games pointed out that the vehicles would appear as soon as the driving conditions on the map got a little better - i.e. as soon as the water drops.

Epic's words were something along the lines:

In time, the water level will sink and more places will appear. As new roads open up for you, you will be able to travel them in new ways.

And although the release date of the cars hasn't been confirmed yet, some leakers have said that with today's patch 13.30 we will be able to race cars over the Fortnite map.

Even the well-known leaker HYPEX tweeted about it, but it turned out he was wrong.

Now, after the patch, the servers are back online and players are desperately looking for the cars, only to find none.

Epic writes:

No Sweat is investigating auto coverage. Until then, many of the island’s vehicles have been recalled.

Apparently there seem to be problems, which is why the appearance of the vehicles is shifting to the rear. But honestly? We're not used to it any other way. After all, we know Epic Games their delays and empty promises all too well by now.

So when do the cars come into play?

On Thursday, July 23, the challenges of week 6 will appear in Fortnite. One of them is: Fill up a car at Catty Corner. We wonder if it'll be possible to complete it anytime soon.

A prerequisite for it would be that the cars can also be found on the map. We can assume that Epic Games will bring the cars into play with the new challenges by Thursday at the latest (hopefully). That is if we don't get another delay, something Epic are known for lately.

We will keep you up to date if there is any news about Fortnite. Until then you can pass the time by completing the challenges of week 5 or unlocking Aquaman and his trident.
