Fortnite celebrates its 6th birthday and once again there are birthday presents with special loot on the island. We'll show you where to find them.
It's Fortnite's birthday and, like every year, one thing remains the same: this year, there are birthday challenges again with which you can earn free in-game rewards. One of the challenges requires you to collect birthday presents.
We don't need to be told twice, do we? So let's go! Let's take a look at where to find the birthday presents on the Fortnite map and how exactly to use them.
Where To Find Birthday Presents In Fortnite
To collect a birthday present, you logically need to find it first.
However, unfortunately, you have no choice but to search, as birthday presents are part of Fortnite's normal loot pool. That means you'll find them on the ground and in chests. It might take you a few games to find one, unless you're very lucky. However, you can increase the chance of finding a spawn for them by landing in the right places.
To do this, go to a POI on the map where there is more ground loot than anywhere else.
Good places to do this include Mega City, Eclipsed Estate, or Frenzy Fields. The gifts are relatively small, pink and glow gold. You need to collect a total of 3 birthday presents to complete the quest, but here's a little tip:
You can simply pick up the gift after the first time, drop it twice, and pick it up again instead of using it. In fact, this method counts towards completing the challenge. After that, you can use it as usual to get the nice loot.
How To Use Birthday Presents In Fortnite
Once you've found a birthday present in Fortnite and picked it up three times, you can now use it! All you have to do is throw it. It's best to throw it directly in front of your feet, then you'll be right inside the birthday present itself and can loot undisturbed by enemies.
The birthday present almost always contains some heal and a Legendary weapon! So it's even well worth looking for the gifts outside of the challenge.
That's all you have to do. You'll get 20,000 XP for your Battle Pass for completing the quest. It's actually a pretty simple challenge with a handy side effect.
