Our weekly series returns with a really nice collaboration between Epic Games and Resident Evil: Chris Redfield!
Fortnite Skin Chris Redfield
Chris Redfield comes from the Japanese horror video game series Resident Evil, developed by Capcom. The series consists of various survival horror, third- and first-person shooter games. As the popularity of the video game series grew, so did the franchise, adding a live-action film series, animated films, television series, comics, novels, audio dramas, and other media and merchandise.
The original game and many parts of the franchise are set in and around Raccoon City, a fictional city in the Midwest of the US. The city and its outskirts are home to several bioengineering labs run by the Umbrella Corporation, which develops viruses for biological warfare. One of these labs, which remains nameless in the video game series and is referred to as "The Hive" in the film adaptations, is located under Raccoon City and is the place where the T-virus is developed. As Umbrella's mutagen tests grew in scale, the virus leaked into Raccoon City. The S.T.A.R.S. officers and other characters fight their way through the monsters ravaging the city to investigate Umbrella's involvement in the disaster.
Captain Chris Redfield is an American operator in the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, of which he has been a member since its creation in 2003. After his experience with bioterrorism in 1998, Redfield built and focused his career on bio-organic weapon destruction and countering bioweapons manufacturers and sellers. Chris became friends with several S.T.A.R.S. members during his time with the unit. He formed a close friendship with Jill Valentine, who is also a member of S.T.A.R.S.
