Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle Stats & How To Get

Before the reintroduction of the Combat AR, Fortnite currently had three assault rifles available in the game: the Striker Burst AR, Ranger AR, and the Hammer AR. With none of them being vaulted, that expands the pool to four unique options Looper can get their hands on while looting the island.

Originally debuting in Chapter 2 Season 8, the Combat AR has come and gone frequently from the game, being vaulted and subsequently unvaulted a total of four times including the latest one for Chapter 3 Season 3.

Combat AR Stats

The biggest gimmick of the weapon comes from the fact that it's incredibly accurate if you know how to control the recoil. It can take massive advantage of the First Shot Accuracy buff. Due to having such a tight spread, the kick of the Combat AR is significantly stronger than other assault rifles.

In case you don't know about FSA, it guarantees 100% accuracy to the first shot of the magazine as long as you're standing still. With that said, let's take a look at the weapon stats in all rarities:

Here are a few other things you need to account for while using the Combat AR:

• Damage falloff begins at 50 meters (10 tiles)
• Damage decreases down to 90% of its maximum at 75 meters (15 tiles)
• Damage reaches its minimum value of 86% of its maximum at 92.5 meters (18.5 tiles)

Where To Find Combat AR

This being a battle royale, there's not a sure way to guarantee you'll get a Combat assault rifle in Fortnite, as the only method to acquire it is by looting chests around the island. So, better beat your opponents to those landmarks filled with loot to increase your chances of trying out this new tool of destruction.

We'll have to wait and see how the Combat AR fairs against other weapons in the category; the Striker Burst received a slight nerf recently, so it might be time for a new contender to take the throne of best assault rifle in the game.
