The Crash Pads have been extracted from the vault and are now available again in Fortnite. We'll show you how to use them and where to find them.
Fortnite is currently on its winter break, meaning there's plenty to do in the game. But Epic is constantly adding new quests, map changes, and items to keep players busy.
And now, after a long time, even the crash pad jr. came back into play. This item is a fan-favorite commodity that can literally save you from dying in a variety of situations. Below we show you how to use the Crash Pads and where to find them.
Crash Pads In Fortnite Explained
Crash Pads are more or less mobility items, but they have other functions as well. They bounce the player off and protect against fall damage when landing on them. They can also launch other objects such as vehicles, balls, or projectiles into the air. So if you throw them on the ground near a building, you can shoot yourself on the roof to quickly take the height or attack whoever is occupying it.
Note, however, that unlike the jump pads, you cannot open your glider once you bounce off a crash pad.
Also, the Crash Pad can be deflated very easily by someone shooting at it. And if you try to throw a new Crash Pad too close to an existing pad, the original pad will be destroyed.
Where To Find Crash Pads In Fortnite
Where you'll find Crash Crash Pads can be found pretty much anywhere – on the ground, in chests, or in loot drops.
You're bound to stumble across this item while completing your Fortnite quests. And now that you know how it works and what to look out for, you're perfectly prepared.
