Fortnite Creative 2.0, also known as the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, has been in the works for a long time. Especially after the release of Unreal Engine 5, the community has high expectations for the mode. Fortnite Creative 2.0 has already changed the way players create their own games and islands. With that said, here's everything you need to know about the new mode.

Fortnite Creative 2.0 (UEFN) Explained

The Unreal Editor is an add-on that PC users can download for free.

But in order to use the editor for Fortnite in detail, you will have to learn the scripting language to get access to all the functions. Creative 2.0 is also designed to coexist and communicate with current devices. Basically it's a new computer application for designing, developing and publishing games and experiences directly in Fortnite.

Currently in public beta, UEFN offers a wide range of games and experiences, ranging from highly stylized cel-shaded teamfights to ultra-realistic simulations, all playable directly within your already installed Fortnite version.

In the future, a so-called Verse NPC feature that works like artificial intelligence will probably appear in Creative 2.0. Players will be able to move it from one point to another and the AI will confirm if the point is reached, unreachable, canceled or unsupported.

Over time, UEFN will evolve and support most of the tools that are also available in the Unreal Engine.

Fortnite Creative 2.0: PC Requirements.

In order to use the UEFN, you will need to download the additional free add-on to your PC as soon as it becomes available. Also, your Pc should meet the following requirements:

While some players are excited to take advantage of the upcoming Fortnite Unreal Editor, others are a little intimidated by the programming language and long list of features. It is expected that newbies who have no knowledge of programming languages will need a few hours to get the hang of it.

All in all though, it looks like Fortnite will be bigger than ever with the release of Creative 2.0. While the battle royale mode may not be quite as popular as it once was, Creative has the potential to make the franchise a game like Minecraft or Roblox.
